What is the GDPR?
The GDPR is a regulation intended to strengthen and unify data protection for everyone within the European Union (EU). The GDPR requires greater openness and transparency from companies on how they collect, store and use personal data, while also imposing tighter limits on the use of personal data.


What information does Alison Marks Swim School collect about you?
Alison Marks Swim School collects your name, phone number, email address, home address, swimmer’s name, date of birth, medical information and permission to use photographs to promote swimming lessons.


Why does Alison Marks Swim School need my information?
Alison Marks Swim School requires data to inform swimming instructors about the children in their lessons and to contact customers about these lessons.


How is my information used?
Alison Marks Swim School uses data to communicate with you, for example, informing you about your child’s lessons, teachers, venues, dates and times, new lessons and courses available, security and other types of updates.


How do we store and protect your information?

All of our information is held on a password protected database, on a password protected server, all of which can only be accessed by Alison Marks Swim School staff through password protected accounts.  The servers used by Alison Marks Swim School are all within Europe.

Marketing


Alison Marks Swim School  will only use your data to send you information about swimming courses and events which may be of interest to you.  You may opt out at any time.  You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.  If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email ali@alisonmarksswimschool.co.uk.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email ali@alisonmarksswimschool.co.uk. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date.  You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.


Information is not shared with or sold to any other organisation and is kept solely within Alison Marks Swim School.
